Chorin Monastery

Let yourself be carried away in a fascinating journey to the times of the Middle Ages. The ruins of the Cistercian monastery in Chorin are one of the most impressive examples of brick Gothic architecture in Brandenburg. Monks have been working here at least since 1258  to clear the Mark and make it cultivable.  An interesting and varied permanent exhibition with guided tours, cultural events, classical concerts and medieval spectacles for the whole family attract visitors all year round. True to the motto: The journey is the goal, you can reach the spectacular Ensemble thru various charming forest paths by bike or on a hearty hike.
